Our President, Mr. Michael S. Genuino, attended the 2008 Micro-Credit Summit in Bali, Indonesia last July 28 to 30. The summit delegates, albeit from different corners of the world, were united in their common goal of poverty alleviation, thus allowing for a successful sharing of experience and expertise. A veritable list of who’s who in today’s microfinance space were there to signify their continuing commitment and support. Professor Mohammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh and Nobel Peace Prize winner, likewise graced the occasion.
Once again, Small Business Corporation (SB Corp.) has awarded BMS Rural Bank, Inc. as a Distinguished Partner in their mSME Wholesale Lending Program. Our President, Mr. Michael S. Genuino, accepted the award last July 23, 2008 in The Peninsula Manila, Makati City.
